We cover a lot of drag brunches on our Instagram @ChicagoGayNightlife and we often get asked which are the best brunches in town. Here are the top drag brunches in Chicago (in no particular order!) If there are regular brunches that we missed, please let us know!

1. The River Drag Brunch

When: Every Sunday – 11am, 1pm, and sometimes 3pm during the summer

Where: The River Kitchen and Bar, 2909 N Sheffield Ave, Chicago, IL 60657

What to know: The bar seats are great. For larger groups, be sure to reserve in advance. The early show generally has the best availability.

2. Roscoe’s Tavern Drag Brunch

When: Saturdays at 12pm and 2pm.

Where: Roscoe’s Tavern, 3356 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60657

What to know: This no-cover drag brunch is a Saturday staple. They also host special brunches on some Sundays. Reservations encouraged.

3. Splash Bar Drag Brunch

When: Varies — often on Saturday 1pm.

4. Lips Chicago

When: Saturdays and Sundays

Where: Lips Chicago, 2229 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60616

What to know: Lips is in the heart of the south loop and easily accessible from the train. Show time is usually around 1pm but depends on when people arrive. Make reservations to celebrate birthdays and other special events.

5. Hamburger Mary’s Chicago

When: Saturdays and Sundays

Where: Hamburger Mary’s Chicago, 1055 W Bryn Mawr Ave Suite E, Chicago, IL 60660

What to know: Located in the heart of Edgewater, Hamburger Mary’s is a campy good time. Check their website for show times. Note that there is a $10 show fee for those sitting in the dining room but you can sit at the bar for free.

6. Flip Phone Drag Brunch Chicago

When: Bi-Monthly.

Where: Various locations.

What to know: Flip Phone is a national drag brunch chain that does themed brunches throughout the city — usually downtown. Check out their website for more information.

7. El Jefe Drag Brunch in Aurora

When: Monthly.

Where: El Jefe, 1271 N Lake St, Aurora, IL 60506

What to know: The rowdiest drag brunch in Chicago’s suburbs! This brunch is definitely worth the drive. Check out their Instagram page for show times.

8. Lark Chicago

When: Saturdays and Sundays 11am – 3pm.

Where: Lark Chicago, 3441 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60657

What to know: This brunch usually features one or two performers who do several numbers before resetting. This format makes it very easy to talk to your friends between numbers. Consider sitting at the bar for quick service.

9. Lost Never Found Wrigleyville

When: Sundays at 1pm.

Where: Lost Never Found Chicago, 3660 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60613

What to know: Check out the LNF website for reservations. This venue is right by Wrigley Field, which is walking distance from Boystown. Keep an eye on the game schedule and consider parking in Boystown and walking over if you are driving.

When: Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm.

What to know: This is a burlesque-style brunch that may not be appropriate for children. Kitkat also offers drag dinner shows and weeknight events.
